Chapter 25: Your Opinion?
Ok so I've realized that my workout routine is getting pretty competitive...running on the treadmill, riding the bike, and a little bit of weight training and that's it. So I wanted to ask you guys...what is your favorite exercise? It's getting very close to summer which means I'll be at home, which also means I won't necessarily have the gym everyday so I'm gonna start working out outside more. Anybody got any good pointers for some good outdoor workouts? Maybe your favorite workout? What about your favorite music to listen to while you workout? What's something that really pumps you up...? Leave me some comments and let me know :) Thanks!

Hiking is always a good bet for a summer workout. Start out slow and get to know the trails, so that you won't twist your ankle on an unexpected pothole or something, then pick up the pace, eventually running some of the more level parts. Whatever you choose, have fun, and keep up the good work!
ReplyDeleteWell if you're really wanting to lose weight, anaerobic exercise (resistance) is key. And if you don't have a gym I'd recommend buying some resistance bands and starting up a routine that you can do daily. http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/wotw10.htm This website has different exercises you can do with the bands. You'll need the door hinge piece that goes with the bands so you can do the exercises with or without a partner.
ReplyDeleteSummer is my favorite time to exercise! I have a pool and love to just play in it. I move my arms around pushing the water as hard as I can. Same with the legs. It's great exercise and it's super fun! Are there any colleges in your area? Some offer free pool time and/or water aerobics. Also check into programs at the YMCA. And remember, any exercise you can do inside, you can do outside!
